Raphael Horrach

French trumpeter Raphaël Horrach was born in 2001 and is currently studying at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon in the class of Clément Saunier. He previously completed his studies at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional in Paris, where he graduated with honors, and was subsequently admitted to both the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris and Lyon. He also studies privately with Håkan Hardenberger and regularly attends masterclasses with Gábor Tarkövi, Giuliano Sommerhalder, David Bilger, Mireia Farrés, and others.
Horrach has won numerous international competitions, including the Maurice André Competition in Paris in 2022, the Città di Porcia Competition in Italy in 2024, the International Trumpet Guild Competition in Los Angeles in 2024, and the Roger Voisin Competition in Miami in 2022.
He has performed with renowned orchestras such as the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Ensemble Intercontemporain, the Orchestre National de Lyon and the Opéra National de Bordeaux. He has worked with conductors such as François-Xavier Roth, Daniel Harding, and Speranza Scappucci.
In addition, he was selected for the ‘Un Été en France’ tour initiated by Gautier Capuçon in 2023 and 2024 and has performed at the Festival Radio France Montpellier Occitanie and the Festival Jeunes Talents in Paris.
